Mr. Resnick is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and is assigned to the Credit Group, where he concentrates in corporate insolvency and restructuring law. Since joining Davis Polk in 2003, he has completed a rotation in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and the Capital Markets Group.
Mr. Resnick has worked on a wide range of domestic and international restructurings and bankruptcies, representing both financial institutions and corporations. He has experience in acquisitions of bankrupt or troubled companies, out-of-court workouts, pre-packaged and traditional bankruptcies and DIP and exit financings.
Recent major U.S. bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings on which Mr. Resnick has worked include Delphi, Refco, Delta Air Lines, Adelphia, Federal-Mogul, C-BASS, Solutia, Tower Automotive, USG, Citation and McLeodUSA. He has also helped advise firm clients regarding credit and bankruptcy risks involved in acquisitions, derivatives and other financial transactions.
Mr. Resnick received his B.M. in 1997 and his M.M. in 1999, both from The Juilliard School. In 2003 he received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Columbia Business Law Review. He is admitted to the bars of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
