Mr. Dobrev is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and is assigned to the Credit Group. Since joining Davis Polk in 2007, he has completed a rotation in the Environmental Group.

Mr. Dobrev graduated, with distinction, from Sofia University Law School in 2000 and in 2006 received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was a recipient of the Bronze Medal and First Prizes in Contracts and Constitutional Law, and was a member of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. In 2002, Mr. Dobrev received his LL.M. from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto. He articled with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in Toronto from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Dobrev is admitted to the bar of New York and the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is a native speaker of Bulgarian and fluent in Russian.

He is co-author of “Observations on Section 94 of the Income Tax Act,” Canadian Tax Foundation, 58^th Annual Tax Conference (2006 AC No. 36) and “Does Security Trump Trade?,” The Law and Business Review of the Americas, Vol. 13:3 (Summer 2007).
