Ms. Cho is counsel in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice Group. She advises clients on matters involving employee benefits, with a particular emphasis on ERISA’s fiduciary rules. Her work is principally focused on ERISA issues relating to hedge funds and private equity vehicles, as well as plan assets and prohibited transaction concerns arising in connection with venture capital investments and corporate transactions. She advises asset managers, broker-dealers and investment bankers with respect to the many and varied services and financial products they offer to U.S. pension plans.

In her pro bono practice, she has provided assistance to the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project and the Legal Aid Society. She also advised students at Columbia Law School’s asylum law clinic.

Ms. Cho joined Davis Polk in 1998 and became counsel in 2006.

Ms. Cho graduated, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, from Yale University in 1993, was a Fulbright Scholar in 1994, and in 1997 received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where she was the recipient of the Yong K. Kim Memorial Prize. She is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey.
