Mr. Tornese is a law clerk in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and works in the London office. Since joining Davis Polk in 2007, he has completed his rotation in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group.

Mr. Tornese received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Naples Law School in 2001; his LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in 2003; his M.Phil in Law and Economics from La Sapienza in 2005, where he was a recipient of the Eurosapienza Scholarship; and his LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, an editor of the Columbia Journal of European Law and the recipient of the Parker School Certificate of Foreign and Comparative Law.

From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Tornese worked in the Cabinet of the President of the European Commission in Brussels. He clerked for the Advocate General Antonio Tizzano in the Court of Justice of European Communities in Luxembourg in 2005 and was an adjunct professor of International Commercial Law in Naples from 2005 to 2006. He is admitted only in Naples, Italy. Mr. Tornese is a native speaker of Italian and French, and is conversant in Spanish and German.
