Mr. Terrier is a corporate and litigation partner in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Paris office. A partner at Jeantet Associés since 1982, he was managing partner of the firm from 2000 to 2007. His clients include some of the largest French companies in the fields of luxury goods, industry, transport, banking and insurance. His recent corporate transactions include advising Sacyr Vallehermoso, the Spanish construction group, on the litigation proceedings related to its unsolicited public tender offer for the French construction group Eiffage; the Vallourec group on the acquisition of VM Tubes, one of Vallourec’s strategic industrial assets; the French nuclear group Areva on the acquisition of the T&D division of Alstom; and Suez in connection with various other transactions, including the sale of the French cable operator Noos.

He joined Davis Polk as a partner in 2007.

Mr. Terrier received his D.E.S. and graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris in 1970. He received his Master’s degree in Law from the Faculté de Droit of Paris in 1971. He was in-house counsel at Goodyear France from 1973 to 1979. Mr. Terrier is admitted to the Paris bar. He is a native speaker of French.
