Mr. Sugiyama is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and works in the Tokyo office. He joined Davis Polk as a legal specialist in 2006 and became an associate in 2007.

Mr. Sugiyama received his LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 2002 and in 2006 received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to the bar of New York. He is a native speaker of Japanese.

Before joining Davis Polk, Mr. Sugiyama worked in the legal section of the International Department of the Bank of Japan.
