Mr. Kim is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and works in the Hong Kong office. He worked in the Hong Kong office from 2001 to 2006 and in the Tokyo office from July 2006 to December 2006. Since joining Davis Polk in 2001, he has concentrated on Korean matters and has worked on securities offerings by Korea Telecom, Korea Development Bank, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Highway Corporation, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Korea Exchange Bank, Webzen, Pixelplus, WiderThan, Sun Sage, LG Telecom, Gravity, Kumho Tire and hanarotelecom, as well as numerous other Korean companies. Before joining Davis Polk, Mr. Kim focused on capital markets and mergers and acquisitions transactions in New York; worked on various securities offerings; advised domestic and international issuers, such as Qwest Communications, CMS Energy, Integrated Circuit Systems and the Venator Group; and advised on several venture capital investments and strategic investments in U.S. technology companies.

Mr. Kim graduated from Yonsei University in 1993 and in 1997 received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He is admitted to the bar of New York. He is fluent in Korean and German.
