Ms. Kim is a member of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department. She represents lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financings. She concentrates in secured acquisition and other leveraged financings, unsecured financings, debt restructurings and exit financings. Recent representations include Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold in a $11 billion senior secured financing in connection with its acquisition of Phelps Dodge; J.P. Morgan in a $4.5 billion debtor-in-possession facility for Delphi; Delta Air Lines in a $2.5 billion senior secured exit financing; and Goldman Sachs Credit Partners and Credit Suisse in a leveraged acquisition financing for Education Management. Other clients have included Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, AIG, GSC Group, E*Trade and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
She joined Davis Polk in 1995 and became a partner in 2007.
Ms. Kim graduated, with distinction, from Stanford University in 1983 and in 1995 received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School. She is admitted to the bar of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
