Mr. Jacobs is litigation counsel in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Litigation Department. He joined Davis Polk in 1997.
Mr. Jacobs graduated from Bennington College in 1978 and in 1985 received his J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, from New York University School of Law, where he was a Baer Memorial Scholar from 1983 to 1984 and the senior articles editor of the New York University Law Review.
Mr. Jacobs clerked for the Honorable Phyllis A. Kravitch, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, from 1985 to 1986. He is admitted to the bar of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Sixth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is author of Ex Parte Information and the Appellate Review of Capital Sentences, 60 N.Y.U.L. Rev. 104 (1985).
Mr. Jacobs also serves as Davis Polk’s Managing Attorney and as the firm’s Director of Training for Litigation.
