Ms. Maconick is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department in the Menlo Park office and is assigned to the Intellectual Property Group. She joined Davis Polk in 2007. She was previously a senior associate in the Intellectual Property Department at the New Zealand law firm Minter Ellison, from 2004 to 2007, and an associate in the Intellectual Property Department at the U.K. law firm Macfarlanes, from 1999 to 2003. She has in-depth experience on a broad range of transactions, which vary from complex cross-border deals for multi-nationals, institutional lenders and venture capitalists to discrete corporate and intellectual property agreements for start-ups, R&D entities and private clients. Ms. Maconick is well versed in the establishment, acquisition and disposal of corporate entities for the commercialization of intellectual property rights. In addition, she has supervised and negotiated agreements for the development, licensing and assignment of intellectual property rights, the provision of services, intellectual property portfolio management and protection, distribution, franchise and agency agreements, research and development agreements, and advertising and sponsorship agreements. She regularly advises clients in the media and advertising, high-technology, biotechnology, telecommunications, manufacturing and finance sectors.

Ms. Maconick graduated, with honors, from the University of Bristol (United Kingdom) in 1996 and in 1998 received her post-graduate qualifications in Law and Legal Practice from the College of Law, London. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of England and Wales, and the High Court of New Zealand. She is fluent in French.
