Mr. Farber is a member of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Tax Department. He has advised clients on a variety of domestic and international transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and securities offerings, and he has advised investment banks and other financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, UBS and BNP Paribas, in connection with their financial instruments, derivatives and capital markets activities. He is currently the co-chair of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section’s Committee on Financial Instruments.
Mr. Farber joined Davis Polk in 1995 and became a partner in 2001.
Mr. Farber graduated from Rutgers University in 1991 and in 1994 received his J.D., summa cum laude, from George Washington University Law School, where he was book reviews and articles editor of the law review. He clerked for the Honorable H.E. Widener Jr., U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, from 1994 to 1995.
