Ms. Chan is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and is assigned to the Credit Group. She has advised investment banks and corporates on multinational financing transactions (involving, among others, the English, New York and Hong Kong jurisdictions), including acquisition financing, structured real estate financing and Rule 144A and Regulation S debt securities offerings. She has also advised Davis Polk on CNOOC’s US$18.3 billion cash offer to acquire Unocal Corporation and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited’s restructuring from a state-owned bank into a joint stock limited liability company.

Before joining Davis Polk, Ms. Chan worked at Herbert Smith as an associate from 2002 to 2005, and as a senior associate from 2006 to 2007. She joined Davis Polk in 2007.

Ms. Chan received her L.L.B. in 1999 and P.C.L.L. in 2000 from the University of Hong Kong, where she was on the Dean’s Honours List in 1999. She is admitted to practice only in England and Wales, and Hong Kong.

She is a native speaker of Cantonese and is a proficient speaker of Mandarin. She writes fluent Chinese.
