Mr. Mendez is a member of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department, practicing in the Equity Derivatives Group. He advises investment banks, corporations and hedge funds in the structuring, negotiation and execution of equity derivatives and other structured financial products, including over-the-counter derivative products, registered and Rule 144A mandatory and optional convertible securities and variance and correlation swaps.

He joined Davis Polk in 2000 and became a partner in 2007.

Mr. Mendez graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern California in 1996 and in 1999 received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was an articles and commentaries editor of the Harvard Law Review. He clerked for the Honorable Jane R. Roth, U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, from 1999 to 2000. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Massachusetts.
