Mr. Riegel is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and is assigned to the Equity Derivatives Group. He was a foreign temporary associate at Davis Polk from 2003 to 2004 and rejoined the firm as an associate in 2005.

In 1992, Mr. Riegel received his diplôme d’études universitaires générales in law from University Jean Moulin, Lyon, France, and in 1998, received a German law degree (J.D. equivalent) after completing his law studies at Freiburg University, Germany. In 2005, he received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar. He is admitted to the bar of New York and Frankfurt, Germany. He is a native speaker of German and conversant in French.

Before joining Davis Polk, Mr. Riegel clerked with German courts and agencies from 1998 to 2000 and was an associate at Hengeler Mueller from 2000 to 2003.
