Mr. James is an associate in Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Litigation Department. He was an associate at Davis Polk from 2002 to 2003 and rejoined the firm in 2004.

Mr. James graduated, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Harvard College in 1996 and in 2002 received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was executive editor of the Harvard Law Review and a semifinalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition. He clerked for the Honorable Amalya L. Kearse, U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, from 2003 to 2004. He is admitted to the bar of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
