Mr. Chen is a member of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department and has practiced in the Hong Kong office since 1994 and the Beijing office since 2007. The matters he has worked on recently include initial public offerings, privatizations and other securities offerings, as well as direct strategic or other investments in or by Asian enterprises, including many technology companies and financial institutions.

He joined Davis Polk in 1992 and became a partner in 2000.

Mr. Chen graduated in 1986 from Harvard College and in 1988 from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. In 1992 he received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and in 2005 received his M.A. from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University. He is admitted to the bar of New York. Mr. Chen is listed as a leading lawyer in Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2008, 2007) and Chambers Asia (2008).
