Mr. Aaronson is a member of Davis Polk & Wardwell’s Corporate Department in New York and Menlo Park, California. His practice focuses on public and private merger and acquisition transactions and joint ventures and other corporate partnering arrangements.
The matters he has worked on recently include Tyco Electronics’ divestitures of its M/A COM and automotive sensors businesses, Comcast Corporation’s acquisition of Daily Candy and Dufry AG’s acquisition of Hudson Group Holdings. He has also worked on AmerisourceBergen’s combination of its institutional pharmacy business, PharMerica Long-Term Care, with Kindred Pharmacy Services, the institutional pharmacy business of Kindred Healthcare; Quadrangle Group’s acquisition of Dennis Publishing; Oracle’s acquisitions of Siebel Systems, Portal Software and MetaSolv; KLA-Tencor’s acquisition of ADE; Comcast’s acquisition of AT&T Broadband, Fandango and Plaxo; the combination of the recorded music businesses of Bertelsmann Music Group and Sony Music Group; the restructuring of Time Warner Entertainment; International Paper’s acquisition of Champion International; Qwest’s acquisition of US West; CVS’s acquisition of Revco; USF&G’s acquisition by St. Paul; and Jefferson Smurfit’s acquisition of Stone Container.
He joined Davis Polk in 1995 and became a partner in 2003.
Mr. Aaronson graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1992 and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1995. He is admitted to the bars of New York and California.
In October 2007, The New York Times listed Mr. Aaronson, along with several other Davis Polk partners, as one of the leading dealmakers on Wall Street under 40 years of age (“Facebook of Wall Street’s Future,” NYT, Oct. 3, 2007).
