1600 El Camino Real is located on the northeast corner of El Camino Real and Encinal Avenue across the street from the entrance to Menlo College on the Menlo Park/Atherton border. The architecture is Mediterranean, distinguished by a low plaster wall and an antique barrel tile roof. The Visitor parking entrance is on Encinal Avenue, one half block north of El Camino Real.
Take El Camino Real (82) north through downtown Menlo Park. Turn right on Encinal Avenue (1 block past Glenwood/Valparaiso). Turn left immediately into the visitors parking area.
Proceed south on Highway 101 (Bayshore Freeway). Take the Marsh Road exit. Turn right at the light and proceed west to the end of the Marsh Road. Turn left (south) on Middlefield Road. The fourth street on the right will be Encinal Avenue, turn right past the elementary school. Proceed west on Encinal past the railroad crossing. The visitor parking area is the last entrance before you reach El Camino (82) on the right. Look for the large redwood tree.

Proceed south on Highway 280 to Woodside Road exit. Turn left and proceed east on Woodside Road. Take a right on Alameda de las Pulgas. (This is the major intersection just past Woodside High school.) Proceed south on Alameda until you reach a stop sign (Atherton Avenue). Turn left and proceed east on Atherton Avenue for approximately 3 miles. Turn right on El Camino Real (82). This is a signalized intersection. Proceed south on El Camino (82) until the next signal light. Turn left. This is Encinal Avenue. The office is on the left. Make an immediate left past the redwood tree into the visitors parking lot.
Proceed north on Highway 280 to the Alpine Road exit. Turn right and proceed east on Alpine road. Stay to the left through the first signal. Turn right on Sand Hill Road (2nd signal) and proceed east past the Stanford Shopping Center. Sand Hill Road ends at El Camino Real. Turn left and proceed north on El Camino through downtown Menlo Park. Turn right on Encinal Avenue (1 block past Glenwood/Valparaiso). Turn left immediately into the visitors parking area at the redwood tree.
