In structured finance, we advise on a broad range of securitization and other structured transactions, and draw on our considerable experience in synthetic equities, derivatives, leveraged lending, leveraged leasing and bankruptcy law. Our structured finance lawyers help clients profit from a wide range of assets, including receivables, inventory, real estate, aircraft leases, intellectual property, bank loans and debt and equity securities. We have experience advising issuers, underwriters and initial purchasers.
We have developed some of the most complex and innovative structured products.
For example, Davis Polk pioneered the development of Tier 1 capital securities
for U.S. and European banks in the 1990s. We also structured and executed
the first guaranteed investment contract (GIC)-backed securitization transactions.
